A Fun Weekend

So this weekend was great! We actually had things to do! Most weekends we just sit around the house watching shows and trying to kill time. Not this weekend though. On Friday night we invited some friends over for pizza and pumpkin carving. It was great. I made homemade garlic chicken pizza, and they brought strawberry daiquiri's (obviously virgin). It was fun. Then we watched Surf's Up while carving the pumpkins. Carter and Ava, our friends' daughter who is 6 days younger then Carter, had fun mostly playing with the seeds and guck from the pumpkin. I had wild dreams of Carter trying to help cut and scrape, but no. Oh well, it was still fun.

The next day we went to Moody Gardens and watched an IMAX on Sea Monsters. When the lights went out in the show and they started showing a prehistoric sea monster with scary music, I started to question whether we should've brought Carter, but he loved it. He even kept his 3D glasses on the whole time! After Carter's nap in the afternoon we went and rode the ferry. It was so fun! The weather was perfect and we were even able to see dolphins! Wild dolphins! That totally made my day. The ferry ride was 20 min. each way, so the trip took around an hour. The best part was that it was free! It was really fun, a big time repeater. Sunday was Sunday, nice and peaceful. It ended a very enjoyable weekend.
