Mariners Game

So for Father's Day I (or I guess Carter and I) told Bo I was going to take him to a Mariners Game this summer. He loves the Mariners! We decided to go last night because today Ivin was getting eye surgery and needed us to watch Ivie. Since we had to go to Seattle, we decided to go to the game. It was sooooo much fun. We had the best seats in the house. It was hilarious. We decided to buy tickets at the game instead of online, so after buying them we headed for our section. We climbed stair after stair after stair. When we finally found our seats, guess where they were. The very LAST ROW!! It was sooo awesome. We were right behind home plate. We were laughing so hard. We actually had a good view of both the game and the city, so we decided to stay where we were, even though there were lots of seats closer up. THey played the Red Sox and won 8-7. It was a great game. The best part about going to the game was that we didn't have to drive all the way home. We stayed at Ivin's for the night and then headed home in the morning with both Carter and Ivie (they watched Carter during the game). We are watching Ivie for a couple of days so that they can have a break and so that they can also paint their house. Anyways, that was our fun outing. It was great.

Pictures!!!!

Here are some pictures from our trip, or is it better to say the last 3 weeks instead of a trip, since there were actually a couple of trips. Anyways. . .
I forgot to mention that Carter is no longer taking a pacifier. Not a happy time. We were down to our last pacifier because the others had gotten worn, and I kept procrastinating buying a new one (don't worry, I washed the binky like crazy). Well, the last one was looking bad and worn out. I bought him a bunch of new ones in various sizes, the same ones, bigger ones, whatever. He wouldn't take them. We were in Hershey at a restaraunt when I accidently left it there on the table. Bo refused to go back and get it. It needed to be thrown away, but I couldn't bring up the courage to do so. The restaraunt solved the problem for us. It was miserable the first couple of days, but I'm proud to say that my son is now binky-free!

A fun game of mini golf with the family. I'm happy to say I didn't come in last place!!

Here's an Amish man in Lancaster, Pa. I showed the picture to Golden, and he made the comment that the man was cheating. I still think it's cool.

Chocolate World in Hershey, Pa. My favorite place!!! They take you on this little ride (for free!!) that shows you how they make chocolate. It was fun. At the end we got free chocolate!

This is a memorial at the cemetary in Gettysburg. Behind it and surrounding it are gravestones marking soldiers who died.

This is us in the museum at Gettysburg.

FINALLY. . . and update!!!!

So I don't have pictures to put on yet, but hopefully tomorrow I'll put some on the computer. Our trip was fun, busy, and at times stressful. It was GREAT!!!!! We left for Hershey, Penn., on Friday, the 25th of May, at like 2 in the afternoon (we wanted to leave that morning, but yeah right!). We drove to Little Rock, ARK, and spent the night at one of the nicest Days Inns ever. I swear, they must hide all the nicely kept cheap ones in places no one visits. The next day was crazy. Bo, Emma, and Whitney all got the flu. I ended up driving the whole time, while Bo and Emma took turns passed out in the car. Poor guys. I didn't get sick because I had it the week before. Anyways, we drove to some random town in Virginia and spent the night at a Best Western, defineltly not the best, I can tell you that. Anyays. . .we got to Whitney's new house on Sunday, and by that evening Bo and Whitney already had the upstairs bedroom painted.
The next week was spent painting, taking off wallpaper, painting some more, and doing all other sorts of odd jobs to fix up the house. During the week Bo, Carter, and I stole a quick trip down to Gettysburg and Lancaster (where the Amish are). It was fun. We also went to Chocolate World, a free tour ride which explains how they make chocolate, which was way fun. My brother Golden and his wife, Julie, also came for the weekend to visit and play. It was great. We went mini-golfing and to Chocolate World again. On Monday, the 4th of June we went to Palmyra and Niagra Falls. We had a blast. I can't wait to post pictures. We also took a drive to Lake Erie on Tuesday on our way home. Wednesday we found out you can get into Hershey Park (an amusement park) for free the last half hour, so Emma, Bo, and I got to go on some roller coaster rides before flying out on Thursday.
Friday and Saturday we were in Moses Lake for a Baker family reunion which was great. It was fun seeing all of my family and cousins. Sunday we took off for Utah for the Beus family reunion. So as you can see, we have been going non-stop. We were in Utah till Friday evening. We stayed at cabins/condos up in Ogden Canyon. I'd have to say the best part of the reunion was the indoor pool and hot tub. Friday we went to Lagoon and it was so FUN. Carter loved the rides. Our kid is fearless. We got back to Moses Lake on Saturday, and have been helping out in the house ever since. Sorry this blog is long. I'll post pics soon and funny stories later. I hope everyone is well.!!!!
