Trials

I'm not a big fan of trials. It is said that trials make us stronger. That when given trials, we are only given what we can handle. These are supposed to be reassuring.
I'm sorry, but I just don't think I'm strong enough. And are we really sure I can handle them??? Really???? Somebody must have a lot of confidence in me.
And I don't know about YOU, but it seems to me that trials come in clumps. Yep, clumps.
One trial as of late is that the air conditionar broke in my car. Why is this a big deal, some of you may ponder? I mean c'mon, it's Fall! Then it's Winter, and then it's Spring. Yes, I did most obviously just point out the seasons. While these seasons are fairly cool to most of you and hence the air conditionar is not vital until Summer, that is not so down here in this wonderful ghetto little island in the Gulf of Mexico. It is still HOT here people. Okay it's not as hot as it was a few weeks ago, but a working AC is still very important. It is so humid down here that even in DECEMBER you still need to have the AC.
I had to take a bunch of people to the Relief Society Broadcast at the Stake Center, which is an hour away, and by the time we got there, we were all sweaty. I had to put my hair in a pony tail, which is a bummer because I actually styled it that day. We were all red in the face and parched. Really. And that was in the evening!
So now I need to get that fixed. And we have no money. F.U.N. Not to mention we don't know what auto repair shop to go to, who is honest and reliable.
Oh yeah, and now Bo's car is having problems starting. Just another to add to the clump of trials.
I am so ready to get a new car. If only we could find a way to finance it.

Funny Sayings and too cute for words

I pulled out some costumes the other day and tried them on Megan. Last year I had gotten a penguin costume for Carter that turned out too small, so I was wanting to see how it'd look on Meg. While I was at it I decided to just go ahead and try Carter's 1 year costume on Meg too, which is an elephant.
I think she looks SO CUTE. Oh man. seriously. I love that girl. Which one do you think she should be?? I'm leaning towards the penguin.

Carter has started calling me "sweetheart" the last few days. Yep. This morning he did one better. I was telling him to do something and he said, "Yes, your majesty Mama." !!!!! What??? Where did that come from? Funny, funny boy.

Friday!!!

I love Fridays!!! I love the feeling that I've survived another week. hahaha. This weekend rocks because Bo doesn't have to work AT ALL. Since he's now doing the psychiatric rotation, he doesn't have to work weekends. I get him for the whole time!! That means sleeping in for me. WHOOHOO!!
Tonight we're taking the kids to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. We're meeting my cousin and her family at the movie. I'm so excited. It looks like it's going to be great! I might mention we're going to the 2-D version. I can't stand 3-D.
Bo suggested taking the kids out on Saturday for something. He wants me to have some "me" time. I'm excited but also kind of worried. . . does this mean he thinks I'm losing it??? I might be, but I really hope it isn't showing that bad. I'm torn between wanting some time alone and wanting some time with him. Shockingly enough, I like hanging out with my husband, and a weekend is precious time!
So that's all. Those are my ramblings. YAY for Fridays and the relaxed atmosphere they always seem to bring.
Carter is starting to draw people. This is daddy.
Carter really wanted Megan to be Bat Man.

Just a tad bit of Rain

This little kiddie pool of ours didn't have ANY water in it at about 10:30 this morning. It is now 1:25 in the afternoon. In case you can't tell, it's filled to the brim. Yes, it is right next to the edge of the house, so water from the roof dumped into it, but still. . .
That's a whole lotta water friends. I almost flooded our car too. I was at a friends during the rainstorm, and when drivivng home, I had to go down a street that was flooded. I almost stalled too. Thankfully I hurried and gunned it and was able to get out fast, sorta hydroplaning it.
And yes, it is still raining.

For the books

Yesterday was a day to go into the record books. Okay, maybe not, but it was a really good day for my little family. A memorable one. Very. See? We're all happy at the same time. A rare moment.

Proof of what a good day it would be. Yes it's early in the morning, hence the pj's and no makeup. I'm naturally that beautiful. haha.

Party like it's 1999

Only really. One night while in Washington I was able to get together with some of my old High School friends. Jana, lucky girl, got to come along and see just what I was like back in 1999. We did what we always did, we had dessert at Sharis and talked FOREVER.
It's always so much fun to get together with friends. I have missed these girls like crazy. It would have been even better if all of the girls were able to make it. Oh well.

Grant County Fair

Again, this is an old post. Well, it should be an old post.
My friend Jana and her girls came to visit us in Moses Lake while we were there for Libby's wedding. The highlight of the trip? The one and only GRANT COUNTY FAIR. That's right friends. You haven't experienced anything till you've been to that wonderful place. Nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING beats cotton candy and a Spaceburger. MMMMM.
Anyways, Jana and I hit up the fair with our kiddos, rides included, and had a grand ole time. Thanks Jana for come and hanging out with me!!! (She is such an awesome friend)

Proof we had cotton candy.

I swear Megan was there with us. So was Jana.

Pictures from WA. . . . Still

Ugh. I want these pictures in my blog book, but man I hate posting late things. THat is why I don't blog as much, because I know I should do these past ones, and so I delay. . .
Here are some pictures of Carter, Meg, and their cousins at the Childrens Museum and a water fountain in down town Seattle.
Don't be decieved by these pictures, Carter wouldn't go anywhere NEAR the fountain. Wimp. :)

ONE

Megan turned one yesterday. My baby is a year! I've been DREADING that day. I know I shouldn't, but I just can't believe she's already a year old! Man time flies! I just want to hold on to my baby!! No, I'm glad she's growing up.
We actually celebrated her birthday on Monday since Bo was on-call during yesterday. It was really fun and simple. We had my cousing Jackie and her family over for dinner, presents, and Rock Band (what's a party without Rock Band???). I love having family near us!
Megan got some dolls, clothes, a purse, and some bath toys. It really was simple. We didn't go overboard because really she's content with Carter's toys. Watching her with the dolls was hilarious. You could tell she didn't quite know what to do with them. I did catch her kissing one yesterday though.
Megan has been such a joy to our lives. She is so funny. She has a mind of her own. She has always been an independant thing. We really have enjoyed our time with her. We love you Meg!!!
My awesome attempt at making a cute cake. . . sooo not a skill to put on a resume.

The kids were wanting in on some of the action, so they got to use some pots as drums. They were so loud! You couldn't even hear the TV

The end results!!!

Sleeping on the Trampoline!

While in Washington Carter slept on the trampoline for the first time. My dad took him out to do some male bonding. Actually I think I was invited too, but I know better. Sleeping on the tramp either means waking up in the middle of the night from the cold or waking up way too early in the morning from the sun, either way its not much sleep.
For Carter and my dad it was waking up at 3 in the morning from the cold. I'm surprised they made it that far. It was really fun for both of them though.
Here's my cute boy all bundled up and ready to go!

So fun!

The Beus Gang

Bo, Cassidy, and Carter Beus
