Mutton Bustin', Round 2

We went on our annual trip to the Houston Livestock Show yesterday with Cassidy's parents. Carter wanted to give the Mutton Bustin' a try again this year. Last year, the sheep clearly won as Carter was falling off as he came out of the chute. This year, Carter did much better. He still didn't bring home the trophy, but we've already decided we'll probably have to make the trip down to Houston for Mutton Bustin' next year since Carter will be one of the older riders at that point.
The best part was Grandpa Hugh giving Carter some pointers the night before the ride, and also serving as a sheep for Carter to practice on. Before the ride, Carter was fearless. I think if somebody tried to put me on an animal twice my size I'd be a little nervous. But Carter was just super excited to ride again; no reservations about hopping on a sheep whatsoever. Here's the video:

Afterwards, they get the kids together to wave and take pictures. Yeah, that's Carter facing the wrong way the whole time. That kid is funny.

That's a good grandpa who fills in as a sheep. Also, nice run Carter!

First off, a belated CONGRATULATIONS to you and Bo on the arrival of cute baby Derrick. What a cutie! I enjoyed reading your birth story and I'm glad to hear that he is healthy and everyone is doing well.

And way to good Carter! What a cowboy! :)
