Carter's Baseball Tournament

At the end of Carter's baseball season, way back in June, they had a single elimination tournament.  The final two teams were awarded trophies.  I think there were 7 teams total.  Anyways, Carter's team placed 2nd!!!  They worked really hard and improved so much through the season.  They were so excited to get these trophies.  I have to admit, they are pretty cool.  Of course, the moment Carter got his, he dropped it and broke it....
Anyways, it was a fun season, and I'm really hoping we find a good league here in the Tri Cities so that Carter can continue to improve.

Meg's Dance Recital

Megan got to go do dance this year with her friend, Julia McRae.  The girls had lots of fun and enjoyed getting to learn new dance moves and wear their fun costumes. Megan told me that she doesn't need to do dance anymore though because "I already know all the moves."
Megan had preschool with Julia, and then every week Julia's mom, my dear friend Becky, and I would trade off taking the girls to one of our homes.  Megs and Julia would get a playdate and then go to practice together.  It was great to watch them developing their friendship.  It was a fun dance year, and Megan is just so darling.

Big plans for Carter

This morning Carter and i were having a discussion on what he wants to be when he grows up. I was telling him he could be a sports broadcaster because he likes sports. His response? Nope, he wants to be the guys on the teams "that wear the costumes and things on their heads. "
Yep, my son wants to be the mascot.

Apparently I took a lot of pictures in June....

In an effort to catch up on my blogging (good luck), I'm cramming pictures from multiple activities into one blog.
I really tried my hardest to get as much of our favorite Indiana activities done before we left in June.  That meant one more trip to go pick strawberries, more splash pad fun, and getting my super awesome Texas-now-Ohio friend, Jenn Timmerman, to come visit.
Every year after we go pick strawberries, Lindsay Dockter and other friends (they change from year to year) and I go to a splash pad near by to cool off in the summer heat and to just make the outing that more fun.  This year was no different.  Included in the pics are the Dockter boys, Livvy and Wyatt Hansen, and the Humphreys.
We got that cute picture of all the kids with suckers outside the Strawberry store.

Our final trip to the Children's Museum, Meg's Cast, and a Farwell Tornado

Here are some other pictures that were hidden in the June Photo Folder.  Say that three times.
I don't know if I ever posted a picture of Megs with her fancy shmancy and super expensive Water Proof cast, so here is one for the records.  Note to self, when a friend offers to cast your child's broken bone for free at his home, ALWAYS take them up on that offer, even if it is summer time and said free cast won't be water proof.  Oye.  That thing was expensive.  We got it, though, because with the move and change, we wanted her to still be able to have fun swimming and something in her life that didn't make her cry.  It made me cry though. ha!
The last few days before leaving Indy, our wonderful friends, the Swensons, were out of town and offered us their home, since, you know, we were basically camping out at our rental.  During our time at our friends, a tornado just happened to hit Avon, and we were forced to go into the pantry to take cover. NOT COOL.  It was a great send off though, let me tell you.  Those warnings are one thing I most definitely DO NOT miss.  Yeah, a tornado actually touched down about 3 miles away from us.  Super scary.
I included a picture of Perry in all his chubby cuteness because he's cute and because I can.  So there.
The last few pictures were taken at one of our ultimate favorite places, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.  We went one final time, this time meeting up with our super wonderful, ultra awesome friends, the Adams.  They had the slide open for a China exhibit, which always makes for a fun time.  Fun place, fun friends, fun memories.
