To Bo

Happy Fathers Day!!!!!!!

We love you SO MUCH!

You are the best dad ever! Carter said so. And Meg too.

You are funny, caring, happy, awesome, generous, loving, selfless, great at getting up in the morning, fun to play games with, great at sharing time with your family, talented, and great at making cute kids, among so many other things.

You are the BEST.

Life with Meg

Megan is awesome. We are having so much fun with her. She is hilarious. H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S.
She started crawling about a month ago. She waited till Bo flew to Washington to be with her to make her first crawl. Now she is all over the place. She stands up, with support, and finds her way around to everything.
She has so much personality. Megan is now starting to "talk". She loves to babble all day. She also loves, loves, LOVES Carter and animals, which to us are one and the same. :) She is such a smiley baby!
I don't know if it's because she's our second and therefore we are more used to kids, or if it's just her personality, but we are finding her very easy to take care of and are really enjoying her.
Carter was easy too, but I don't know, he was just way more of a mellow child, so he didn't babble as much, or crawl till 10 mo., really didn't play with toys too much, and it seems like it was so much harder to get him to smile. So seeing all this in Meg is fun. Why do they have to grow up???
Just kidding, we love you tons too Carter. Really. You crack us up all the time.

church

So yesterday, during a car ride, Bo, Carter, and I were playing a "game" where we went around saying what we liked about someone in the car. Bo's and mine were what they were. We liked Carter for this, Megan for that, and each other for these. Carter? He likes church. He likes "church and ivie's house no running away and go to church and play at grandpas and church with grandpa in name Jesus Christ AMEN." Everytime. Okay maybe a little variation (sometimes Ivie or grandpa wasn't mentioned) but everytime church was mentioned, if not a few times.
So there you have it. Carter likes church.
I might feel I'm failing as a parent, but I guess I have to be doing something right. Right?
(humor me)

Pike's Market

One day while visiting my brother's family in Seattle, we took the kids to Pike's Market. It was way fun. I especially love it down there because that is where Bo and I had our first official date. Okay, it was actually a Mariners Game, but before the game started we killed time down at the wharf and the market. Ah the memories.
Anyways. . . We had a good time. I think the kids favorite part was feeding the seagulls.

I had the awesome opportunity of sitting in the back with Meg.

Watching some cheese being made.

I don't know why this is sideways.

Anticipation

So Bo is taking his first round of Boards today (step one) to qualify for his licensing to be a Doctor. Step one is taken after the second year of medical school.
He left this morning at 6:30, and is HOPING to get back about 6:30 this evening. It is around an eight hour test, and it's in Spokane.
When Bo took his MCAT I was soooo nervous. I couldn't concentrate on anything. I was a wreck. Now? Not so much.
Bo has been studying major crazy for the last couple of months, making me major crazy (I'm crazy a ton these days). So while I want him to do well and am a little nervous (this test pretty much can determine what he is able to specialize in), mostly I just want him to get the stupid thing done with.
I want my husband back.
I can't wait for tomorrow, when he is DONE for two weeks. Then maybe I'll get a break.
Good luck honey!

Insane in the Membrane

Carter is driving me C.R.A.Z.Y.

Terrible Two's??? HA!

More like the Terrible, Horrible, Whiney, Make-me-want-to-go-hide-in-a-hole-in-the-ground-and-never-come-out THREE year old stage!!!!!!

What's worse is that now that I have Megan, I know I'm going to have to deal with this AGAIN when she gets older.

Kids should come with warning labels.
