The Washington Coast

In the middle of August, my brother Whitney and his family flew in to Washington for a week long visit.  Haven, Ivin, Whitney, and I decided to go to the Washington Coast for a couple of days while Whit was visiting.  We rented a cabin right on the beach up by Ruby Beach for two nights.  It was the ultimate trip.  We had so much fun!  The cabin had two floors, each floor containing 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room.  It was a great setup for all of us.  We had fun chatting, playing in the sand, eating yummy food, hanging out with cousins, and just being care free.
After our 2 night stay, Whitney took off to Leavenworth and then to my parents home, while the rest of us headed north an hour to hit the Famous Ruby Beach.  We got there just barely at low tide, and scrambled out to see all the starfish and tide pools that the beach had to offer.  We even got to see a family of Otters!  Then, to make the trip complete, we decided to take a ferry back to Seattle instead of driving the whole way. On our way to the ferry port, we got to drive through Forks!!  I couldn't get my camera out in time to take a picture of the Forks welcome sign, but we saw it!  We couldn't stop because of the rush to make the ferry in time. The kids loved the Ferry, and thanks to Megs needing to use the bathroom clear on the other side of the ferry from everyone else, Megs and I got to see a whale!
After the Ferry Haven took off to head to my parents home and hang out with Whitney more, while we joined Ivin at his home to stay the night and celebrate the triplets birthday. We left the next day after spending lunch with the triplets at chuck e cheese.
PHEW.  It was quite the trip! So much fun.  I hope it is a repeat!
