Bo and I were able to get away and take a little vacation to Victoria, BC while we were in Washington. We left Thursday, August 5th, and came back on Monday the 9th. It was NICE. We ate some good food, slept in, did sight seeing, souvenir shopping, read books, and pretty much just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.
Thursday was spent driving and riding the ferry, Friday we went whale watching and walked around the city, Saturday we went to Butchart Gardens, Sunday was spent relaxing and reading, Monday we took the ferry back to Washington, went shopping at some outlet malls, then drove back home.
We had a blast, but by the end we were really missing our kids. They are darn cute and we love them. Thanks Grandma Sandy and Grandma and Grandpa Baker for watching the kids!!!
This picture is out of order, because I decided to add it last minute. You can see the Mother Orca and it's baby on the left.
Part of the port of Victoria
Bo and I killing time while waiting to get on our whale watching tour.
Harbor Seal
Two of the Orcas. I think this was the Mother and it's baby. They were really fun to watch.
We were able to watch the Orcas for a long time. Some came up pretty close, and while I have tons of pictures, these two are probably the best. We did get a video of one jumping out of water and landing on it's back. It was pretty sweet.

The BEAUTIFUL Butchart Gardens.
We went there on the Saturday of our trip because Saturdays are the only days when they have their fireworks, and trust me, you WANT to see the fireworks. Unfortunately, Saturday was the day it decided, of all the days on our trip, to rain. It was only supposed to rain in the morning but ended up raining the whole day. Well actually it stopped just in time for the fireworks, so I guess I can't complain too much.
It was so beautiful. I really wish it wasn't raining, so that we could enjoy it a little more, but we still had fun viewing the scenery. I'd have to say my favorite part was the super yummy hot chocolates I had while walking around. mmmm.mmm. haha.

The park is so beautiful. I love the first picture of it, with the mist in the background and the bright flowers and the shiny sidewalk.
Also, it's really cool you guys saw whales.
Fun! I'm glad you guys had such a good time! We are missing you all and can't wait to hang out again! Love ya!
Umm, I don't mean to be rude but you look pregnant or something. Maybe you should cut out the cookies. :P

I've been to Buchart Gardens too, but never been to it during the night! That's awesome that they have lights at night. One more thing that I'm going to have to do on my list! Love that place.

Sounds and looks like you had lots of fun in Victoria. I'm really glad you could finally go.
