I wish I were clever. I can hold my own conversation, I think. . ., but I can never ever come up with anything witty or clever. Bo can. I wish I could. I also wish I had more creative abilities to make what I have "cool" (i.e. fashion sense) I'm too cheap to buy "cool" things, so I really need to be creative. huh.
Whatever. My mom thinks I'm cool. haha

Exciting times
Not really. We are sick. So fun, right? Carter started it with having an upset stomach. I knew something was off yesterday when he didn't want to do ANYTHING, but lay down on the couch. Hmmmm. . . Then I started feeling sick. I'm more the achy body and sore throat. The only one not affected is Bo. The rest of us are so tired and out of it. I'm guessing Meg doesn't feel too well because she's been extra tired and attached too.
Bo has been amazing at helping out, letting me sleep while he watches the kids among other things, and staying upbeat. He even bought me flowers!! Poor guy, he's probably bored out of his mind and sick of watching movies. That's pretty much all we've been doing. It's actually been pretty relaxing and nice to have Carter so cuddly.
That's all.
Oh yeah. Carter decided he wanted to wear his old Tiger Halloween costume today. He's actually kept it on all day too, even during his nap. Funny boy.

Already?
We set up the little bouncer thingy for Meg today. Can she really be old enough to go in it already???? Granted she can't push the buttons yet, but she really seems to like it. Man. I just am in big time denial that my baby is growing up so much.
Meg's at the stage where she tries to put everything in her mouth. I really like each stage that my kiddos go through, but you forget each one too. I know that doesn't make sense, but I guess what I'm saying is, I forget how fun it is to watch them change. I love watching her try to make sense of her hands. She will just stare at them. If she really wants to grab something it takes FOREVER. She really concentrates. She's getting there though. If by chance she does grab something, straight to the mouth it goes. She is so quick at realizing that her hand has brushed against something (by accident) and hurrying and grabbing it. Dinner time is fun. She has time to stare at the plate in front of her and get the grip she wants on either mine or Bo's plate. We are rusty at remembering that babies tend to grab things. We're getting better at scooting our plates away. It makes for some entertainment at the table though.
She hasn't rolled over yet. She really doesn't have much motivation for it. Carter didn't ever really either. She LOVES her rattle though. It cracks us up. We bought the rattle back before Carter, and he didn't give it a second look. Megan? Oh she will calm right down for it. It's AWESOME! She'll be crying, but once the rattle comes into view, oh she's a whole different baby. That rattle saved my skin on the trip last week. It put her right to sleep. She also loves to try and eat it. It's her favorite toy to gnaw on.
It's interesting how different she is from Carter. I'll probably say that about all my children. She still hates, hates, hates, HATES, the pacifier. She loves her rattle. She smiles way more frequently than Carter. She isn't sleeping all through the night, but 6:30 isn't as bad as 2 was. Oh , and the best way to get her to laugh is to simply laugh. If you start laughing, she'll join in. No need for a reason, unless she thinks everyone looks super funny when laughing. We'll take it! WE LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL! Carter especially enjoys her!
My Hair
It's not the best picture (okay it's not good at all--I was dead tired but NEEDED to get this posted), but you get the idea. I LOVE IT!!
I didn't post earlier because you have to wait two days after getting a perm to wash it, and I wasn't about to post a picture of my hair the way the lady styled it. *shudder* I still have the bangs, they just aren't as short, and they kind of look nonexistant in this picture. Oh well.

Trip to Temple, TX
So I used to live in Temple, TX, which is about 4 hours from Galveston. We lived there just before moving here. I have lots of friends there, some of which will be moving in a few months, and some who have just moved there.
One of my friends, Brianna, moved to Temple about 9 months ago, after husband graduated from Med School here at UTMB. She has been asking me to visit, and I finally made the time to travel the 4 hours with my two kiddos to her house. I'm so glad I did too. It was great to see all my long lost friends, and it was SO FUN playing with Brianna!! (granted I didn't win ONE game we played)
Of course neither of my kids slept too well, but it was still worth it. Brianna has 3 boys, ranging from 5 to 1. Her two older boys were friends with Carter, so it was great seeing them play together again. Her boys had fun playing with Megan. They were so cute to her too. They would often sit next to her on the couch and just talk to her and make her laugh. SO CUTE! She thought they were so funny. I had to best time socializing and playing games. Really, who could ask for more?
The only downer, which wasn't really a downer unless you were Carter, was that it was too cold to go outside to play in the yard. Poor Carter would just stand at the back door begging to go out, trying to convince me that it wasn't that bad (can you tell that I need a yard??). It was too cold though, I promise. There was an ice storm while I was there that left my car covered in ice.
While there I was able to meet up with almost all my other friends at the local Burger King. It was a fun reunion. Poor Santino was the only man. haha. He was good natured about it though. I was also able to see Serena's cute little baby. It's amazing how fast babies change. Megan was like twice her size, with only 3 months in between them. haha.
It was a good trip. I headed over there Monday around noonish and got back into town, with two screaming kids, Wednesday night, just in time for mutual. Oh I was tired. I still am. So fun though. I can't wait to do it again! Well maybe I can wait a little. . . . but I will miss my friends. I love friends.
The boys riding a "bull" at a play place in the mall on Wednesday, just before we left. Serena actually met up with us there too, and that was fun!! You can see her in husband Doug talking to Brianna in the background.

A Visit from Grandpa!!
So Bo's dad came to visit us last weekend. I know, this is a late post. He sort of came out of the blue too. He called us like the Sunday before his visit, letting us know he was coming into town on Friday.
He got in Friday evening and stayed till Monday morning. We had fun visiting and eating good food. We drove him around to see the "sights", aka storm damage, and we also went to Inkheart. It was really fun to have him, even though it was such a short stay.
Unfortunately I only took one picture the whole time, and the reason I took it was because I had just made her headband. So sad. I'm so bad at taking pictures. It's a cute flower though, yeah? So big. haha.
Thanks for visiting us Grandpa!!
Oops, just kidding. I found another picture that I took. Unfortunately I didn't get one of Grandpa and Carter. Oh well.

Your Opinion
So I want to get a haircut. I'm thinking this:
What do you think??? It's the girl from Sugarland's hair, not the guy's haha.
