Bath Time!

The pictures of Perry are actually from his second bath, but it's close enough to the first for documentation reasons, right?
The pics of the other kids, yeah I'm pretty sure they're going to hate me in the future for taking these....  I blame it on my mom.  She wants some pics of the Grandkids for a collage she's making.

My brown eyed boys and blue eyed girl.  What color of eyes will Perry get?

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures

Here are a bunch of random pictures I found in the February folder on our computer.  February...sad that I'm so behind.
It looks like Megan may have gotten ahold of my camera.....

Derrick has started calling Perry, "My brother."
"Mom, my brother is crying."  "Mom, my brother is smiling." And so on.
I love it.

Welcome Home Perry!!!

The saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words," pretty much sums up the reason I have so many pictures for this post!
Bo and I brought Perry home from the hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 19th, and while Bo was unloading the car, I hurried in and got the camera ready, so that we could capture the kids reactions to meeting their new baby brother.  Remember, the hospital wouldn't allow Carter, Megs, and Derrick to come visit, so this was their first time meeting him.
I love every single picture I took.  They were all three just so excited.  The joy.  Oh, the joy! on their faces.  PRICELESS.  True to their personalities, Carter and Megan were hyper and giggly.  They couldn't stop touching his face or hands or head either. They loved how small and tiny he was/is.  Derrick was happy, but cautious, loving and gentle.  He was happier keeping his distance, but couldn't take his eyes off Perry.
They all loved him immediately, and not one child has been jealous or resentful of the time and attention I give to Perry.  The only thing that they had an issue with, Derrick mostly, was when Perry cried.  They did NOT like that.  Now, 8 weeks later, they don't even bat an eye when Perry gets fussy.  hahaaa  Although the last two days, whenever Perry has cried, Derrick has taken it upon himself to command me to "feed Perry!"
All three kids have been wonderful helpers with Perry.  They love to hold him, talk to him, and fetch me things when I am busy nursing.  Carter and Megan like to try to get him to smile, and when I need to do something, I can always count on them to watch Perry for me..  Derrick, well Derrick is just DARLING with Perry.  When I lay Perry down on the rug outside my shower, Derrick lies down too and just chats with Perry.  Derrick will also sing to Perry when he's fussy, and like I said, Derrick apparently is also in charge of Perry's feedings.  I'm loving these children and pray that they always have a great bond with each other.
And just so I don't forget to mention this, people have asked me who Perry looks like, and Bo and I both agree, without a doubt, that Perry looks EXACTLY like Carter did.  No joke.  They are very, very, similar in appearance.  I do think that Perry might have Meg's nose, and possibly smaller eyes like Megs, but the face shape and everything else is Carter all the way.
